Initial Session
During this hour, I will ask you a series of strategic questions about your past, present and future self. Questions are designed to help explore what is important to you, assist with your research and help me to understand your goals and aspirations.

Family Meeting
After we have met and conducted some research together, I facilitate a family meeting where I will ask you and your parents to share experiences, hopes and questions in an open and honest way.

Overall Timeline
Ideally, I will begin working with you in the winter/spring of your Grade 11 year of high school, and we will complete the process when you receive your university/post-secondary offers the following spring.

Structure
We meet in winter/spring of your Grade 11 year for research and planning, then we pick up again in late summer. We then meet once a week through the submission of your applications. Once you receive offers, I help you with the final decision-making process.

Personal Essay or Personal Statement?
I will work with you on your personal essays, statements or motivation letters that schools require. You will learn about the different styles and focus that these pieces of writing require.

Time / Project Management & Stress Reduction
Throughout the process, I will share specific techniques you can use to improve time management as well as stress reduction skills. You will come away from our sessions feeling motivated and capable of accomplishing whatever you set your mind to!
Accepted an offer?
I will support your transition
As you prepare for you new learning adventure, you will begin working directly with your university to help with housing, visas and so on. I can assist you with your additional research to connect with your school before you arrive and be ready to plug into your new community!
